Reviving the blog
Greetings! It has been a while since I posted a blog post on my site, as my writing tends to be focused on my business (www.soundgardenclassical.com) and on my poetry (nearly ready to proceed to the next stage of publishing my third book!).
One just can't do everything. However, I decided it's high time I post a little more frequently here! I won't be setting myself an exact schedule, but if I haven't posted in a while, feel free to ask me about that so I have a little more motivation! If this is the only place you follow me or have lost track, here's a quick career update:
I am based in Paris again.
I have switched from mezzo-soprano to contralto.
I'm back to focusing on singing more, although due to COVID, switching voice types, general immigrant life, it has been challenging to say the least.
I work on my singing, poetry, and on Sound Garden primarily. These three elements are manageable together and allow me to contribute what I want to to the world.
I'm not entirely sure what I'll be posting here. I will come up with a plan, as I tend to do better when I have some kind of plan to follow. Definitely some musings and some poems. I may overlap Sound Garden content here a little too. Aside from that, suggestions are welcome!
In the meantime, here's a little #killingperfectionisminclassicalmusic clip. My first outing as a contralto, getting my voice used to its new gear.
See you back here soon :)
