Your Journey Starts Here

Have you ever wanted to...

  • Express yourself with confidence through your voice, body, and mind as one integrated, creative whole?

  • Discover the wonderful world of classical music - past, present, and future - in a way that feels inspiring and approachable?

Now is your opportunity!

Hello! I'm Kayla Collingwood: an experienced classical singer and educator.

I offer voice, music, and stagecraft lessons for learners of all ages, both online and in person (Paris). Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to music after a break, I'll support you in developing strong technique and musical understanding whilst nurturing your creativity and personal expression.

My approach is holistic and person-centred. I believe music isn't just about skill - it's a powerful way to build confidence, explore identity, and connect more deeply with yourself and others. As a trauma-informed practitioner with growing expertise in therapeutic principles and methods, I create a safe, supportive space where healing and musical growth happen together.

Alongside individual and group lessons, I also design and lead workshops and bespoke educational experiences, drawing on my background in classical music, stagecraft, and interdisciplinary practice.

Ready to explore your voice? I'd love to support you on your musical journey.

My Credentials:

  • MMus - Classical Singing (The University of Auckland, New Zealand): Music, singing, and performance knowledge and experience!

  • Postgraduate Certificate - Theatre Studies (The University of Waikato, New Zealand): Directed study projects involving devising workshops and voice/bodywork/movement philosophies and methods.

  • Certificates/courses: A whole bunch of courses on different topics related to music and singing education, pedagogy, non-clinical psychotherapy, trauma, and more.

My Teaching Pillars

🎶 Personalised Learning

Each lesson is tailored to you – your interests, goals, and learning style. I bring structure, encouragement, and experience to help you grow at your own pace.

🎶 Holistic Approach

Real progress happens when mind, body, and voice work together. I shape lessons to support you as a whole person, weaving together technique, creative exploration, theory, and insights from wider disciplines for a rich, integrated learning experience.

🎶 For Everyone

I work with students of all levels – from shy beginners to returning professionals. Everyone is welcome, and every step of your journey matters.
